World-Class Education for the Future

Zhongshan Whampoa Education Group (ZWIE)

Zhongshan Whampoa Education Group (ZWIE) is deeply rooted in Chinese culture and drawing on the best of education from around the world, ZWIE has devoted more than two decades to exploring holistic education that integrates East and West traditions for a new era. ZWIE is committed to preserving and promoting the finest aspects of Chinese culture. Based in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, it shares Chinese culture with the world through the Belt and Road Initiative.

ZWIE operates under a dual-headquarters model, with its Hong Kong and Guangzhou twin headquarters working in close collaboration. Over the years, the Hong Kong headquarters has provided partner schools with ongoing professional services, including academic guidance, teacher professional development and brand licensing. Prior to this, ZWIE had founded or partnered through licensing with five international schools, all authorised by the International Baccalaureate (IB). These comprise two 12-year through-train schools for children of Hong Kong and Macao residents, a nine-year through-train bilingual school, a bilingual primary school and a bilingual kindergarten. Together, they form a seamless 15-year IB whole-person education continuum from kindergarten to senior secondary.

In 2026, the Group returns to Hong Kong to establish a school of its own, with Zhonghuang College becoming the sixth school in the ZWIE education ecosystem.
